SCRATCH was formed in 2005 by three experienced improvisors and performers: Gareth Kane, John Mawer and Ruth Bratt. With the rest of the SCRATCH team, they perform highly innovative improvised comedy.

All the SCRATCH players have worked with many improvisation groups across London, including Improvedy, Improper, Roulya Boulya, Big Wednesday and the Impro Monkeys. They regularly perform games and short and medium-form impro across London (to sell out audiences), and in June 2006 they began performing long form improvisation—an hour long entirely improvised film noir musical—to impressed audiences at Chesterfield Rep Theatre.

SCRATCH are pleased to be coming to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2006,

with The Reduced Edinburgh Fringe Impro Show.
